References for f/8 Studio

I had a shoot here with JayH, on arrival I was greeted by the owner Paul Davies who was friendly, funny and welcoming. The studio is well set up, with various props available if required. The atmosphere felt relaxed. There is a private changing area, toilets and a kitchen area. The studio is easy to find as not far off the M5. I would recommend looking into booking this facility. For further shoots, if the photographer is looking for a recommendation, I will defiantly recommend here. Thank you Paul

I had a great shoot here and would love to come back again!

The studio is well equipped and has a lot of different lights and backdrops. There are a variety of chairs and props, and also a rail full of clothing you can use. Paul is really good at setting up lighting and knowing what will work for the shoot.

There is also a separate area for models to get changed.

It’s a lovely studio and I would recommend shooting here

I attended a group workshop at the F/8 Studio (1950's Portraiture). It was an excellent event!

The studio is very well equipped. Lighting is top end and coupled with the broad range of booms, boxes, umbrellas and diffusers and also has a variety of furniture set-ups as well as numerous novelty props. Back drops and screens are readily accessible and easy to use. The facilities for the model and the photographer are perfect.

Paul (Davies), the Studio Owner, hosted the event and provided a wealth of advice and guidance. His attention to detail and the explanation of the requirements and reasoning of each set-up certainly enhanced the enjoyment of the event. It helped me learn a lot about lighting techniques.

Florence Day (a Wonderful Model) completed the workshop experience.

I would thoroughly recommend the Studio and the workshop format and advise photographers to keep an eye on future events. A Great Day

Had another great shoot at F/8 Studio only two hours but all went well I would recomend this studio great lights and help from the owner Paul when needed.

As always Paul provides a warm and welcoming session. He is friendly, funny and knowledgeable about photography and how to light a subject. I have attended many workshops at f/8 and always manage to get great shots.

I would highly recommend using Paul and f/8 studios.

Great shoot at f/8 yesterday. The studio is a lovely space with good natural light and more equipment than you need. There's a nice changing room and Paul was super friendly and made sure both myself and the photographer were comfortable. I'd be very happy to work there again.

My first shoot at f/8 and a very enjoyable experience. Paul was extremely helpful and introduced me to the studio before we started. The studio has very good equipment, very well maintained, and it shows in the results in terms of details like consistent colour temperature across the whole shoot.

Lots of interesting furniture and props to choose from and Paul went the extra mile to dig out some unusual items for us. All in all, a great studio, well located and with easy parking. We didn't shoot with natural light, but if we had, the studio has plenty of that. I just love studios in buildings with high ceilings and big windows!

Recommended. I'll definitely be back.

I had a lovely 2nd visit at f/8 for 3 studio dates! I also managed to shoot with Paul this time and we got a lot of lovely images. Paul clearly knows what he is doing and always ensures that the model is comfortable. The space is a great temperature and as usual the lighting is set up and those who attend can just point and click without a second thought.

I would highly recommend working with Paul and booking f/8 and I hope to be back again very soon :)

Done my first shoot at F/8 Studios on 3rd August alongside photographer GSC4X. The studio is easy to find and access, clean, tidy and has everything you could ever want and need for a shoot. Paul was extremely accommodating and friendly. Paul had set up backdrop prior to arrival and helped us move boxes when we arrived. Highly recommend paul and his studio. It was a great day with some great images made.

Had an absolute blast this morning at f/8 studio!

Booking in was simplicity itself, Paul was messaging back almost instantly to any question I had - the directions are really clear but definitely worth paying attention to if either it's your first time or it's been a while.

The studio space is an absolute esoteric assortment of props and ideas - fantastic lighting kit - honestly I'd happily just book the day and shoot some of the mannequins and chat. Paul's stories are marvellous and clearly demonstrate his knowledge of and passion for photography. Exactly what you want in a studio!

I'll be back (as Arnie said!)

I modelled for a studio day hosted at F8 with Paul for a small group of photographers, and we had a fantastic day. We got some great images, made great use of the lighting and space available. Paul is a fantastic host, the studio is comfortable and very well equipped for both models and photographers.

I would happily shoot here again, highly recommended to all!

Great studio with options for both natural and studio lighting. The facilities are clean and suitably spacious, with a nice well lit area to get ready.

The studio is also conveniently located to nearby shops/cafes and there is ample parking.

Had arranged a model day with Paul at his studio and after seeing a few fellow models that have worked in the studio I was really looking forward to it.

It did not disappoint my expectations, the studio is a great size with lots of backdrops and props around and lightings.

Paul greeted me and brought me through to the studio and I quickly was made to feel comfortable.

Throughout the studio day Paul was there on hand to help with all the lightings and backdrops and making me teas ;)

He made sure I was looked after all day and I really enjoyed my time working there, we are no in discussion of our next studio days so watch this space !!

Had the opportunity to set up a shoot at F/8 with Elegance when over from Canada and had a great shoot. Paul was extremely helpful in sorting out some lighting that helped produce some lovely images. As well as strobe, the studio has good natural light which allowed for different looks. All pre-shoot communication ensured the shoot was well planned and went of without any hitches. Parking on site and a cup of tea helped round the experience out. Thanks Paul.
