I worked with Rob at a duo shoot at Inspire Studio in Salisbury and he really is a true professional and a real gentleman and the chemistry between himself and M E L A N Y is fantastic .

He really pulled off the theme with comfortable ease and looked every bit of the part but you could see he is very diverse and can adapt to any style.

I was amazed by his array of outstanding outfits most of which are custom made.

He made us all feel at ease and was really a good laugh , he was humbled by my Lou Bega lookalike comment.

Really hope to work with Rob again soon.

I would recommend Rob to any studio or photography looking for a true artist :)

I attended a fantastic Film Noir group shoot at Inspire studio with Retro Rob and Melany. This is my first time at a group shoot and I must say how welcoming and helpful everyone was and how well organised the event was run by Inspire (Siaran).

Rob is a true gentleman and his professionalism coupled with such friendly manner made it a relaxed but very rewarding shoot for me. I came away with many great shots that were beyond my expectations. It looked as if Rob and Mel had more chemistry between them then you could ever find in any science lab! A big thank you to them both for their professionalism, dedication and hard work.

I look forward to working with both Rob and Mel again soon.

I had the great pleasure of working with Rob at a vintage / nude duo shoot with Melany

Rob totally nailed the look - he dresses sharply and authentically. Unclothed his physique is superb - my wife says Rob has the most beautiful long hands and feet and a gorgeous face - possibly she missed the rest of him? ...!

Rob looks so authentic you expect him to pull a .38 on you at any second but in fact he is totally charming, gentle, well spoken and an utter gentleman.

Rob follows direction well but easily poses on his own or as part of a duo (he worked so well with Mel) - I can thus highly recommend him to photographers of all levels and look forward to working with him again soon

I had the absolute privilege to have a 3 hour shoot with the amazing duo - Retro Rob and Melany at Inspire Studios, Salisbury.

Having shot with them before, I knew this 2nd shoot was going to be good, but wow, I was not to know just how amazing it was going to be.

In my mind, there is no better duo out there - they work with each other so well and somehow managed to bring me into their world resulting in the best set of photos I have ever taken, and the most fantastic and fun shoot I have had.

On top of this, I came away with the most beautiful And varied photos imaginable from one shoot, travelling through the 1940s, 1950s and through to the 70s. Brilliant costumes and poses throughout.

Rob and a Melany gave their all - totally professional, focusing on getting the results and shots we all wanted and achieved. Add to this their wonderful and friendly personalities, and it was a photographer’s dream.

Thank you so much and I look forward to our next shoot in a few weeks.

I had a wonderful shoot with Retro Rob at his group shoot with Melany at Inspire Studio, Salisbury. my words cannot express what a wonderful model Rob is and I totally recommend him.

Despite issues with the Railway causing him travel problems He made the effort to get to the studio. He arrived with a large selection of outfits and was soon ready to start shooting. Retro Rob was very friendly and welcoming with all the people attending the group shoot. It was a pleasure to work with Rob who is totally professional; each outfit was superb and he is a gent! Wow what a weekend we've had with Retro Rob on his duo group shoots with Melany and studio day too. Rob is such a gentleman and a genuinely fabulous guy who you warm to straight away and then there's his modelling which is absolutely first class. You cannot fault his attention to detail and dedication to getting the outfits just perfect. When it comes to posing again he is superb at creating exactly the right pose and emotion for the shot being taken. He bounces off Melany so well too, they are a fantastic duo.

I was also honoured that Rob did some art nude with me in a little spare time we had as I'd never done this sort of shoot before but what a fantastic guy to do my first art nude shoot with, thanks Rob.

Definitely looking forward to seeing him back at the studio again.

I've just had the pleasure of two days shooting with Rob at Inspire Studios. We did two group shoots on the Saturday with film noir and art nude versus vintage as the themes, and a 1960s/70s studio day on the Sunday.

I've lost count in the number of shoots Rob and I have done together in the past two years but each time his dedication and energy never cease to amaze me and we always come up with something new. He has progressed so much as both a vintage and art nude model and it's a joy to model alongside him. He has countless ideas and is very creative with a excellent eye for detail. Rob is great at building a rapport with photographers and this shows in the images.

Rob is unique and offers a look that no one else has - if you want original shots with great storytelling and character portrayal then look no further!

Participated in a group shoot with Melanie and Rob on a “noir” themed shoot. Not my first with this very professional duo.

If you haven’t shot with them and get the chance, take it.

You could get great shots with them with a Box Brownie (not sure how the flash sync would work, ha, ha!). They pose so well, and their outfits are killer.

I have booked another shoot with then later this month.

I have admired Rob’s portfolio for some time and although I don’t work with male models very often, I’ve wanted to work with him for a while. So, when I got the opportunity to attend a duo day he was hosting with Melany I jumped at the chance!

Rob is a genuinely warm and friendly guy, a true gentleman in every sense of the word. Despite his train being cancelled and having a nightmare journy he turned up full of beans and raring to go. It soon became very obvious that he was very used to working with Mel and the poses and emotion flowed by the bucket load :-)

Professional, charming, charismatic, hardworking are just a few of the very many adjectives I could use to describe Rob but I’ll just say he is a real dude with a fantastic and classy vintage wardrobe. The way he can tell a story with his poses and expressions is amazing and it is very clear he has a passion for what he does and he does it very well indeed.

I really hope I get the opportunity to work with Rob again soon and it goes without saying that he is highly recommended by me.

Rob has an intuitive understanding of poses and angles which l makes photographing her a pure pleasure.

I got to work with Retro Rob on a session days workshop where I was there with the lighting to help the attendees.

I have seen Rob around the site with images and have always wanted to get the chance to work with him. Being there with a camera I couldnt help myself but to take images!

Rob is FLAWLESS in his posing! He is able to get the shots that are needed for people and takes direction well to be able to make a pose work with the cameras.

Rob is a real natural in front of the camera and clearly knows what it takes to make the images work.

I am glad that I got to work with Rob and I can assure you it wont be the last.

I’m still buzzing from one of the best shoots I’ve had with Rob. We hosted a group shoot event at a vintage railway and worked our way through a wide variety of 1940s-50s summer and winter looks.

We developed a great rapport with our photographers and as always worked hard on our storytelling. Rob has such fantastic style and there is no one to rival his amazing vintage wardrobe. His expression and acting skills provides something above and beyond most male models. I feel very honoured and lucky to be working alongside him. He always ensures that everyone on the shoot is happy and having a good time.

He has endless ideas and such creative flare. I highly recommend Rob to studios, photographers and models. He’s dependable, respectful, considerate, professional and guarantees quality, original images!

I had my first shoot at PoZers Studio last weekend shooting a duo day with Retro Rob & Marie Jean Taylor, this was Marie Jeans first B/G shoot and they shot both 1920s & 1960s styles respectively as this was a first time this couple worked together ( without any rehearsal) you would expect them to be very tentative in their posing? This was not the case for from the very first pose they slipped into complimentary poses with aplomb creating wonderful images for all concerned, Rob is a perfect gentleman always deferring to Marie Jean but the atmosphere was very relaxed throughout, the whole 8 hours shoot, Rob's "Retro Wardrobe" is a beauty to behold his suits being spot on for the periods being worked transporting us the photographers back to a bygone era, being amply complimented by Marie jean's extensive wardrobe too as stated this was this couples first duo shoot together and from their chemistry they clicked immediately and I certainly hope this will not be the last time they work together there is talk that they enjoyed their first foray in working together and I for one will be first in the queue for their next shoot together. Thank you Rob for your professionalism fluidity, and your overall style you made my first "male" shoot very enjoyable. Retro Rob comes highly recommended by me without hesitation.

Just finished a lovely event at Pozers studio, where Rob was part of a duo modelling team. The event was focused on the 1920 and 1960 styles which Rob pull off with aplomb. Either as male model or in a duo, in this case with Marie Jean Taylor, he was the perfect gentlemen. His energy, wardrobe and professionalism throughout the shoot was second to none. I have therefore no hesitation in HIGHLY RECOMMENDED Rod either as a male model or in the duo combination. His contribution throughout the shoot was consistently to the highest standards and meant we all left happy, full of wonderful images and a hope to work with him again. Thank you Rob 'the Elder'. I’ve just had the absolute pleasure of shooting with Rob for three consecutive days! We shot tango together, followed by Film Noir and finally a mixed studio day on the last day with some art nude, vintage and dance.

As you can see from my other references, I very highly recommend Rob as he’s a brilliant and talented model with such thoughtful and expressive posing, plus very skilled at art nude posing too.

He always comes with suitcases full of really cool vintage outfits and props and has loads of energy and enthusiasm. He is professional, friendly, courteous and instantly builds a rapport with the photographers he works with. His storytelling and acting skills are extremely good.

His talents never cease to amaze me and I can’t wait until our next studio day on 25 August at Far Forest :)

Straight away we started chopsing like we, only seen each other the week before.

as the shoot went , both parties had the same vision I had. which made the 3 hrs we had flow easily .

I had two hours with Retro Rob and Melany at Open Space Studios and I can honestly say it was one of the most enjoyable and productive shoots I have ever done.

We were working mainly on dance themes, both Tango and Ballet styles, as well as a couple of portraits and managed some excellent storytelling images.

Rob has a wonderful repertoire of poses that must take a lot of practice and he makes it all look effortless. Rob 'gets it' when honing in a shot and responds well to even the most detailed of direction (when my OCD gets the better of me!)

Of course, Rob's wardrobe and accessories give an extra aspect of authenticity that makes the photographer's job easy!

I would thoroughly recommend Rob and would welcome the opportunity to shoot with him again anytime.
