Just spent another awesome couple of hours with Carla during her visit to Pavilion Studios. I've been lucky enough to work with Carla several times now and every time we work together the pictures just get better and better. We worked through several different setups, did a lot of nattering and catching up, and produced some of our best images yet. Thanks again Carla for a very productive, engaging and fun shoot. Already looking forward to the next one. If you haven't worked with Carla yet, you really should. Very highly recommended.

Having shot with Carla in the studio a couple of times, I had my first location shoot with her and Adrian as part of their recent Autumn casting. Meeting near Swindon, we spent 4 hours exploring some beautiful local sites capturing images with Autumn colour. It was a great few hours. Carla and Adrian are both incredibly friendly, easy to get on with, and just chat to. The session was well prepared – Carla & Adrian had scouted out some lovely locations to shoot, came prepared with coffee supplies, and even the weather behaved as forecast. Carla was as professional as ever running through poses, having come prepared with a change of outfits so we could get a range of autumnal fashion shots And a big thanks to Adrian, who acted as driver, bag carrier, and sometime light stand – I think we both learned a bit about the capabilities of my rotolight! I had a really fun shoot and got some great images – definitely recommended.

I had a very enjoyable shoot with Carla and Irida in Swindon. Carla is warm, welcoming and friendly. Her undoubted talent as a model is well documented here so I won't dwell on how exceptionally easy and rewarding she is to photograph. She also makes a cracking cup of coffee!

I had a wonderful time shooting the stunning Irida at the Dark Fashion Workshop organised by Carla and Adrian. Carla styled four completely different sets and they were all brilliant creating amazing styles for each set. Even got to shoot a great duo set with Carla and Irida at the end. Adrian was great setting the lighting to exactly match the mood of the sets. Carla and Adrian are such great people, excellent company and we even got a lovely lunch and plenty of coffee! Thanks again Carla and Adrian for making the day such fun and creativity resulting in stunning images.

It is a great result when you encounter a stunning model, with a lovely personality to match. Carla was friendly, engaging and collaborative from the start of this duo shoot with Artemis Fauna. Working with a model happy to offer constructive guidance is always a delight, and Carla was never less than delightful. Carla looks amazing in portrait, fashion, lingerie, and tasteful art nude images, she really is the complete package. If you want high end images that really deliver impact, you really need to work with Carla. As a novice photographer I consider myself lucky to have had the opportunity to photograph such an exceptional model. I would recommend without hesitation and I sincerely hope I have another opportunity to photograph Carla again.

I had my second shoot with Carla earlier this month as part of a duo day with Artemis Fauna at The Boardroom in Derby. Due to a crazy spell with work I was a bit late in giving proper thought to plans for the shoot, and even later passing them on to Artemis. However, she & Carla came well prepared and I had another productive, fun couple of hours, working with the natural light in the studio – and, I think, producing some great results. Both are great professionals, easy to work with and enjoyable to be around. The two hours just flew by. Definitely recommended and I’ve already arranged my next shoot with Carla.

When I heard that Carla and Adrian were offering another fashion street shoot on the streets of London, I immediately knew I had to be there. I had already taken part in a similar, very successful shoot in the artistic neighbourhood of Shoreditch in June this year.

This time the focus was on autumn fashion and autumn colours. Carla and Adrian had set everything up perfectly again, choosing the locations and outfits and our group of four photographers had plenty of opportunity to get really good shots of Carla. Carla is a perfect model and comes up with good ideas for pictures herself. Adrian was on hand with help and advice and kept a watchful eye on the traffic and equipment.

And what was particularly good and important: the weather played along, we had sunshine, sometimes more, sometimes less, just right.

I am very happy with my photographic results.

For me, it was a wonderful day of photography in very good company and nice conversations with all of the group during breaks with refreshing drinks.

I will definitely be working with Carla again, even though the distance from Germany is certainly a bit far.

Had a second fantastic London Street Fashion walkabout shoot with Carla and Adrian today. It was every bit as good as the first one earlier this year, despite the weather doing its best to try to spoil our day!

As before we were guided around a series of great shooting spots by our hosts, improvising as necessary when the rain set in for a while early in the shoot: A couple of shop awnings provided just enough cover from the elements, and we came up with creative ways to get some great shots anyway! Several refreshment breaks along the way allowed us to dry off and warm up before getting too cold or wet, and in the end we triumphed over the weather. We shot pretty much everything we had planned to, and the rain had given up and gone away by the end of the shoot :-)

Some less intrepid organizers may have given up trying to shoot today, but Carla and Adrian were great at keeping things on track and ensuring we all remained in good spirits and got what we came for. Carla took it all in her stride with her usual fabulous modelling, and Adrian can always be relied upon for some excellent suggestions for shots. Plus it's always interesting to see what others in the group come up with (and steal the ideas you like... ;-)) so you really can't go wrong with these shoots.

I highly recommend these events to anyone looking for great pictures and a fun day out (whatever the weather!), and forward to doing more myself next year :-)

I'm also very happy to be the one leaving Carla her 1200th all positive reference here on PurplePort! It's a remarkable milestone, and very well deserved :-) Here's to the next 1200 ;-)

Last weekend I had another great remote shoot at Neon Dreams Studio, this time with Carla Monaco. I have had many great opportunities to shoot with Carla, including in person in London.

This time we had agreed that Carla could pose as a Bettie Page lookalike. She had brought the appropriate outfit with her. I was thrilled with the photos that came out of it.

But Carla had prepared even more and we worked our way through several sets in a concentrated but also relaxed way. Two hours flew by. I am very satisfied with the results. Thanks also to Natasha from Neon Dreams Studio for the great help.

I am already looking forward to the shooting with Carla in London. See you there.

Fabulous 1st shoot with Carla today at Neon Dreams studio. As a departure to what I have been shooting, we went for a monochrome 1960s inspired shoot. I loved every minute of it! Carla is just an awesome model and person, brilliant effortless posing perfect outfits and an all round superstar. That's so much Carla! Highly Recommended. Look forward to shooting again!

Carla surprised me with an offer to facilitate remote shooting during her holiday in Portugal. She said they were in a beautiful villa with a pool and with natural light you could certainly get good results.

No sooner said than done. We made an appointment and I can only say: Great idea from Carla and Adrian, super results in a relaxed holiday atmosphere.

After previously doing a few brilliant countryside 'assisted location shoots' with Carla and Adrian, and more recently an equally fab street walkabout shoot with them in London, I thought I'd invite Carla to Bristol for a 1:1 walkabout shoot around the harbourside area. Carla was as kind as ever in rescheduling when our first date looked like being yet another bad weather day in this summer of nearly endless rain. Today's forecast kept switching between rain or shine, but we lucked out in the end and got a lovely day for it today :-)

Carla arrived ready to hit the ground running, and was armed with a large hold-all of outfits to magically change in and out of in quiet spots when nobody was looking, so we got a great variety of looks with minimal stoppage time (though we did briefly pop into one watering hole to get refreshments when the sun ironically became a bit too hot towards the end of the shoot!). Carla's always such a joy to work with. Laid-back and easy-going but hard-working too, which is perfect for a walkabout shoot: She's relaxed and friendly when walking and talking between shooting spots, but then jumps straight back into the serious business of looking amazing in pictures when we make our next stop. She's as beautiful as anyone could wish, brilliant at striking a pose, and always has her finger on the pulse with the right choice of outfit for any shooting spot, whether it's an abandoned railway track, a tree-lined avenue, a derelict building or a marina!

Thanks to Carla's efforts in putting in a lot of steps today (even whilst carrying that heavy bag!) I was able to cover all the locations I had in mind for today, and she even introduced me to another very cool location (which she knew from a past street photography workshop in the area) just off the beaten track which I must have passed a thousand times without realizing was there! There are a hundred more brilliant places to shoot in the same area and I really hope to shoot at more of them with Carla in the future, which you may take as a 100% recommendation from me for today's shoot ;-) (I've not been able to do many shoots this summer thanks to the dreadful weather, but for the second shoot on the trot I've been fortunate enough to work with one of the very best models around, and now again have a big headache over which shots to do edits of because I'm absolutely spoiled for choice again!)

Big thanks again for joining me today, Carla. I look forward to doing it all again sometime, and to the next London walkabout which we have in the meantime :-)

Carla and Adrian organised a London Street shoot with Irida for a small group which went really well :) I captured good images including some rather cool fashion images in a tunnel! Sadly I could not afford the c£600 to buy some motorcycle leathers in the quirky coffee shop where we met. Shame as she and Irida would have looked great :). Carla was brilliant, bringing outfits fitting perfectly with the shoot theme. Good job Carla :)

A truly memorable remote shoot with Carla. I had thought that remote shooting would reduce opportunities for creativity in the studio. How wrong could I be. Working with Carla on a Dark Fashion styling (assisted by Adrian) we were able to create an entirely unique vibe from the many gorgeous portraits that I have shot with Carla previously. Carla is a truly huge talent who works alongside her photographers to get the best results images. I live working with Carla 1:1 but our remotes deliver awesome images too. Thankyou. Can’t wait for our next shoots.

Recently I had another remote shoot with Carla. This time with a very special theme:“Dark Fashion“. With the concept she had prepared very well, we were able to create a completely different mood during the shoot than with the portraits I have usually shot with Carla before. Carla had prepared various sets that represented the theme of dark, Victorian fashion very well.

Needless to say, Carla showed once again that she is a top model. The time of the shoot flew by.

Many thanks to Carla and also to Adrian, who was again a great help with his technical support.

Again a great collaboration with wonderful results, highly recommended.

I can't wait for our next shoots remotely or in person.

Carla was stunning and did not need any direction at all, but was open to ideas and not afraid to try.

She wanted to see the shots taken and was very complementary about them.

I had such a wonderful shoot yesterday on Carla and Adrian's Summer Assisted shoot. Carla and Adrian are such lovely people and it was great to spend 4 hours in their company shooting the stunningly beautiful Carla. It was great Adrian being there to assist, especially with the reflector! We shot in a forest in a number of different areas and Carla had a change of four different outfits and looked stunning in all of them. I believe we made some lovely images together. Thank you so much for such an exciting day and for your planning and outfit choice which matched the location perfectly. Very highly recommended. So looking forward to when we can shoot together again.
