A wonderful shoot with ever lovely Carla at the boardroom.

Amazingly enough after working with carla on several occasions over the years this was our first proper one to one shoot ( previously working on events and duos with artemis including basfords first duo shoot in which i had the honour of being invited to by Carla and artemis.)

We worked through several ideas over the four hours which flew by- always a sign of a good shoot (which was previously discussed in pre comms for this shoot)

Working with Carla is a dream she is professional has a lovely personality

And a bloody awesome model to boot.

During the shoot we got some amazing images - not hard when you're working with this very talented lady who makes it look so easy with seemingly effortless natural posses. We even managed to fit in a bit of a catch up and a bit of fun.

Always lovely working with Carla and very much look forward to our next shoot

Only my second shoot with Carla, my first was 9 years ago... I really should not have waited so long.

I booked Carla on her visit to the Boardroom in derby (months in advance as she is understandably very popular), we organised styling for the 2 hrs and Carla brought everything needed for the styling. All preshoot communications were timely and straightforward.

On the day the shoot went very well, Carla modelled wonderfully and I got so many great shots. Carla is very down to earth and personable, the shoot was very productive yet relaxed, a true professional. Thanks for the opportunity to shoot again after all these years, have not changed a bit!

My latest shoot started with an event casting up for a group shoot in Wiltshire.

On Saturday 29th July 2023 running from 10am to 2pm.

Communications before the shoot were simplicity itself, timely, relevant information and all booked.

As a strike day but certain services were supposed to run, which fortunately they did.

At Swindon, texted while in the Costa Coffee and outside met with a warm welcome and off to the locations.

Starting in the woods, then the restored shoot hut and off to the fields and meadows and finally the lake. Superb backdrops.

Throughout Carla was most pleasant and talkative. I am always in mind of Gracie Fields when she talks. Keen interest in what people do and in photography, very nice.

It is no exaggeration to state that she is literally Brigitte Bardot reincarnate!

That reputation is thoroughly deserved. A most varied set of looks and poses with complete changes of outfits and the most wonderful use of subtlety and expression.

Very French country girl look indeed!

I always got the sense she was completely engaged with the photographer as we all took turns to photograph her at each location.

Always receptive to what Photographers want, yet always suggesting new ideas or changes, excellent.

Seemed as everyone was engaged with one another on this Group shoot. Makes a huge difference.

Even had the use of a ring light at the Shoot Hut and a use of a reflector too.

Outstanding and most suiting styling and planning on this. Her husband throughout was a great asset and help to the day too.

Time stood still, it seemed a lot longer than 4 hours for the shoots I got, although for once I photographed much less at 360 shots including film and other subjects.

I must mention lovely, hand-made Ham, Cheese and Pickle Rolls provided as part of the Picnic with plenty of bottled water.

Suitable comfortable footwear is a must, due to the hiking involved among trails, muddy and narrow at times with closing in forest but it was far more than worth it. Even accounting for most variable weather, bright and sunny one minute to overcast and then a short shower.

A couple of mishaps on the day too but all part of the shoot.

I shall let my photographs speak for themselves in the results!

I am more than happy with the results. Just the boost I needed at this time.

Such kind, happy vibes. Just what I got on the initial shoots with the models I have photographed to date and one my most photographed to date. That is always a good thing.

A consummate professional who it is wonderful to spend time with and having a lovely time photographing with results.

As always, the difficulty is picking which ones to post.

Several posted photographs have been credited so far, that is the surest sign that I have done what I intended to do, that is always the kindest gesture of a model to a photographer.

I absolutely, more than just simply recommend this lovely professional to any photographer!

Book her as someone you are guaranteed to get results and have a lovely time doing so.

As for me I intend to photograph Carla again at the earliest opportunity.

For such a lovely shoot with results to match. I can only finish with.

Ghost Light Photography

“If it does rain, I don’t mind. We can still get great images. As long as your camera is OK.”

I paraphrase a little, but that sums up the qualities of Carla Monaco. This was our second shoot (and first solo), and we again found ourselves in a natural environment at the mercy of the elements. Sadly, aside from a few spots, the rain stayed away. The sky was overcast and there was a stiff, cool breeze blowing. But Carla was always professional and always looking for something different to enhance the results of our afternoon working together.

This was a shoot put together at short notice after I had an unexpectedly free afternoon. Communications were always positive, taking us forwards rather than dwelling on anything. We were both entirely comfortable being spontaneous, taking advantage of any opportunities we might find. Carla was well prepared for every situation and had suggested the location for the range of spaces and environments available within a short distance and accessible within the limited time available to us. Needless to say, we covered more sets than I had anticipated, leaving me with some very difficult choices to make in editing.

Carla is undoubtedly a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ model who will enhance any shoot.

I had a new lens to try out which was fun. As with the last location shoots this was a great experience with the help from both Carla and Adrian I captured some

lovely images and learnt some more about photography, I strongly recommend these

I’d briefly worked with Carla on a Timeline Events shoot in June, but I had my first proper shoot with her last weekend on one of her duo days with Artemis Fauna at Aura Photographic. What can I say? Nothing that hasn’t already been said in over 1000 positive reviews, I’m sure.

I had a great couple of hours, fun and very productive. The comms beforehand had been with Carla, and went smoothly. I’d sent a few ideas on themes through beforehand and she picked up on those. The different looks we shot very much reflected what I’d been after. The whole shoot itself was relaxed – both Carla & Artemis are a joy to work with & easy to chat to. From a modelling perspective, they’re both incredibly professional, and know exactly what they’re doing! I think I asked Carla to step back slightly once because of the light, but that was the extent of my posing “direction”. 😃

I came away with so many cracking images the issue is going to be one of narrowing down the selection to edit.

Definitely recommended. I’m looking forward to hopefully working with both Carla & Artemis again, individually and together.

Well it is difficult to put into words what a fantastic time was had shooting Artemis & Carla, this was the 3rd Duo shoot along with many individual shoots and the rewards get greater each shoot, I am chilled in what and how we shoot and love the chemistry that develops through a shoot and look forward to shooting with 2 off the most professional people I know, thanks again Carla and Artemis and look forward to our next shoot Andy

From the instant that Carla was before the lens it was very clear that here was a highly adept and highly experienced model. This was the Highlands and conditions were at times arduous and mostly wet. Notwithstanding, Carla took to posing with poise and ease which seemed to intuitively interpret the brief - In fact it looked effortless despite the conditions. I did not take many shots - There was no need to - The brief was posed so well that it was captured quickly. The outcomes will be soon posted but they were superb and at least one will be entered into the Hasselblad Masters. Carla is a very beautiful model who would grace any aspect of modelling. Pre-shoot communications were superb and timeous which is so helpful when you are all busy. Adrian was very helpful and without hesitation I would shoot again with the two of them - Shooting in the Highlands is tough and when you are not over task loaded because Adrian is there to help it is far more enjoyable. Carla and Adrian are very easy to get along with. A great shooting combo - Highly recommended.

I'm not sure how many times I shot with Carla and hosted her for the weekend, but it’s a lot and every time we work together she just gets better and better!

Carla is open to trying new ideas and locations, this time we were shooting fashion and she was happy to try-on and model some of the many dresses, shoes and outfits and that I’ve collected over the years, as well as coming up with ideas and making suggestion, adding greatly to a fantastic shoot.

We had a great day shooting on Friday, we started at a location, but the weather didn’t help so ended up returning to my studio for the rest of the day. Then it was off to Hammerwood Park for two days of workshops with Jon Gray.

Lovely evening group shoot in the Wiltshire countryside organized by Carla and Adrian. We were lucky with the weather and good light. Carla, as always, looked amazing, dressing Boho-style and perfectly portraying that summer evening vibe. Some great shots resulted, and Carla and Adrian are fun to work with. My first shoot with Carla in a Scottish studio, mainly to practice portraiture and to gain experience with studio lighting.

Working with Carla was an absolute joy. Her outfits were ideal and her professional attitude resulted in some great shots.

More than that though, her friendly attitude helped to create a very productive atmosphere. A fantastic two hours.

I had my first shoot with Carla in December 2022. The theme back then was a BB-styled shoot. Carla had chosen wonderfully contemporary clothes for the shoot. The remote shoot was a complete success for me. Many more great shoots with her followed.

Now Carla had called up the Brigitte Bardot style theme again. I was immediately very taken with this idea, as we hadn't been able to work on all the facets the first time.

This time Carla had prepared particularly fashionable items of clothing. I particularly liked a red polkadot dress. I was able to take a lot of beautiful pictures and haven't been able to edit everything yet.

This shoot once again showed how varied and imaginative Carla approaches her modelling work. Another excellent collaboration with her. I look forward to further work with her in person or remotely.

More than 100% recommended.

My second shoot with Carla was even more relaxed than the first. This time I replied to an event casting for a street fashion event. Couldn't pass up the opportunity. All the organising was done by Carla and Adrian - all I did was turn up.

Choice of outfits and locations in Shoreditch gave loads of opportunity to capture great shots of Carla. As to be expected, her modelling was impeccable, and I don't think I have a repeated pose in 280 shots. Adrian was on hand to offer advice and give the group warning of approaching traffic.

All in all - a very enjoyable days photography, with great company. Again, a 100% recommend from me - and yes, I will be working with Carla again.

I had already worked with Carla several times, but as a remote shoot from Germany. Now I had the opportunity to meet her and Adrian in person for a shoot. It was a fashion street shoot in the streets of London in the artistic district of Shoreditch. It is known for its street art.

The organisation was done by Carla and Adrian - my job was to be there with camera and lenses.

The choice of outfits and locations in Shoreditch provided ample opportunity to get good shots of Carla. As I know, Carla is an excellent model and always has good ideas for pictures herself. During the shoot she always listened to my suggestions and implemented them. Adrian was on hand with help and advice and kept a watchful eye on traffic and equipment.

I only saw good results later after a first quick review of my photos.

For me this was a wonderful day of photography in very good company and lovely break time conversations with refreshing drinks. I will definitely work with Carla again, although the distance from Germany is certainly a bit far.

Been a long, hard decade since I last shot with Carla, and the years have been kind indeed. A wonderful remote shoot with Carla this morning assisted by Adrian, and we have countless fantastic results to show for it. My first foray into remote shooting, but certainly wont be my last.

Carla is every bit as fabulous as ever - and now with even more experience. Cannot recommend enough - and I'll be back for more I'm sure!

Just had my first shoot with the lovely Carla. This one was a one-to-one shoot at Mr Dave's bungalow at Exeter. Been looking at Carla portfolio for some time and took the opportunity to shot with her here. And, I was not disappointed at all. On meeting Carla, I found her to be a very friendly girl with a cheerful personality where our conversation flowed easily. After a short conversation about our 2hr shoot which was to contain portrait, fashion, art nude and boudoir. Our shoot went well where we gathered some stunning images. Carla is a very confident model who poses well with little or no direction. Our plan also included some images in Mr Dave's garden where the rain almost put a stop our plan. I can recommend Carla with confidence and look forward to when I can shoot with Carla again. Thank you so much for your time and posing skills Carla.
